Portishead Economic Development Fund – Portishead Business Survey

North Somerset Council have launched a Portishead Business Survey to invite local businesses to help shape the allocation of the Portishead Economic Development Fund, worth £152,942.

This fund was created in response to the loss of commercial land at Severn Paper Mill and is aimed at supporting local business growth and start-ups. Potential areas for funding include equipment purchases, staff training, premises improvements, and technology investment.

The survey is open from Tuesday, 3 June to Tuesday, 1 July and is relevant to anyone with a business interest in Portishead or Portbury, whether running a business, planning to start one, exploring expansion into the area, or with a broader interest in local economic development.

By taking part, respondents will help the council understand local business challenges, barriers to growth, training and support needs, and awareness of existing initiatives. This feedback is crucial to designing a grant scheme that meets real-world needs and maximises the impact of the limited funding available.

We’d be grateful if you could share this with your networks and encourage relevant businesses to take part.
